Great news, if you missed our epic Crystal Bridges trip back in 2021, we are opening up spots to our Dallas members so they can attend our Houston club’s October trip. The trip is fast approaching and we want to make sure it’s filled, so this amazing opportunity is now available our Dallas club as well.
We will depart on Thursday morning, October 3rd and return on Saturday afternoon, October 5th. We will be staying at the luxury boutique 21c Museum Hotel and then dine on classic Southern fare at Bentonville's top restaurants. Founded by philanthropist and arts patron, Alice Walton, and the Walton Family Foundation, Crystal Bridges houses one of the most lauded collections of American Art in the United States. The building was designed by world-renowned architect, Moshe Safdie. The permanent collection spans five centuries of American art ranging from Edward Hopper to Jackson Pollock. Our trip will focus on its outstanding contemporary holdings throughout the museum and its surrounding trails in the beautiful Ozark landscape.
Led by the art travel experts at Adventures in Art, our excursion to Crystal Bridges includes a private guided tour of the museum's contemporary galleries. The grounds are dotted with outdoor works by artists like Keith Haring and Louise Bourgeois and a walkthrough of Yayoi Kusama's Infinity Mirrored Room--My Heart is Dancing into the Universe. We will visit James Turrell's Skyspace, The Way of Color at sunset and Leo Villareal's LED, Buckyball at night. We'll explore contemporary architecture with a private tour of Frank Lloyd-Wright's meticulously restored Bachman-Wilson House. Our tour concludes with a walkthrough of the Momentary, Crystal Bridge's new contemporary art space.
This trip will fill up quickly and space is limited!
